Road Trip to Switzerland, Italy 1 - Issue 11 - July 30th- August 1
So the original plan for this weekend was to stay in Aachen but we spontaneously planned a road trip through Switzerland and Italy in a rented BMW 1 Series! Me, Max, and Daniel just grabbed our bags, pillows, some food and hit the road at around 7 pm! About 4.5 hours later, we were in Luzern, Switzerland! Stayed with one of Daniel's friend in the center of town and went to a festival that was going on there. Saw the town in the morning for a bit and started driving. Next destination: Stelvio Pass, Italy where they have some of the most craziest hairpin roads in the world! Drove around there and Italy for a bit and then headed back into Switzerland to Binn, where Daniel's grandpa had a 300 year old hut on top of the Swiss Alps. Staying there for the night was pretty cool! Daniel's mom and grandparents were there...We ate some pasta and left for Aachen at around 7:30-8 AM. Almost 11 hours later, we arrived in Aachen. Drove through France twice because of traffic jams. Total distance covered: 2000 km in less than 48 hours! Solid trip and weekend!
